THE STORY BEGINS HERE
Ferreira Avelar was founded in a region known for its specialisation in the footwear sector, where many shoes were made by hand. This family company started out as a peer-to-peer business, based on a meeting of craftsmen in 1947.

Innovation and development
Over the years, Ferreira Avelar has modernised, but has always kept its ancestral techniques as its main pillar.
Shortly afterwards, we opened our own brand for the French market, Profession Bottier, in 1994.
With the technological boom, new machinery and increasingly refined modelling, the first private label clients and work with pret-a-porter brands began.

We stand out for our values, which we imprint on everything we do. Since we are a family company, all contact with the customer is made in a close and intimate manner.
We base our entire business practice on commitment, honour and honesty, with long-lasting relationships. The key to our success, besides our focus on innovation, is our concern for people and our team - we strongly believe that each employee is essential and unique.
Our services are guided by quality and concern for sustainability, using mostly natural and biodegradable raw materials.
